The latest rumor around the first BMW M2 comes from Germany where Auto Bild reports that the second compact M car will output 374 horsepower and 520 Newton meters of torque (384 lb-ft). The figures are a bit higher than what we reported previously. Our own sources initially said the output will be between 360 and 370 horsepower, only later to settle on the 360 hp value.

Under the hood, the F87 BMW M2 will be running an updated version of the N55 TwinPower 3.0 liter engine (N55B30T0). The same source reveals that the M2 will be available with both a six-speed manual and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
